The raised beds were created in three sizes, 8′ x 4′, 4′ x 4′ and 2’6″ x 2’6″ from 12″ x 2″ timber.
The 8′ x 4′ and 4′ x 4′ are “real” raised beds, the 2’6″ x 2’6″ “faux” models are wrapped around the fruit trees to provide some symmetry.
This method of construction was chosen because the garden has a gentle slope and it was a trivial matter to install a bed with its top faces level and then cut additional timber to infill the bottom where required.
All of the Renderings and models you will find here are retrospective, in that Fusion 360 didn’t exist when I originally designed and built the beds. To be honest I wish it had, creating items such as the “Mesh Cloche” would have been much easier if I could have modelled it first!
